The Purpose of Education :
In 1999, Okazaki Johsei High School became co-educational, and meaning male and female students now study together in an atmosphere that emphasizes building a more attractive school and a wider range of education.
Our mission is to provide students with an awareness of their own unlimited potential, and to help them develop individuality and broader outlook.
Our hope is that students leave our school with the comprehensive skills needed to become contributing members of their community.
Established in 1962, Okazaki Johsei High School provides young people with the skills needed to function successfully in today's international and information-oriented community.
Our approach emphasizes self-control and communication, and we offer students opportunities to master these skills through club activities, sports, and other activities.
A high percentage of our students go on to enter universities, while our sports teams are renowned for their performance at both the regional and national levels.
Students are also encouraged to take part in overseas homestay programs and other international exchange programs.
Focus :
"Anjo Gakuen was established in 1912 as the Anjo School of Needlework for Women, with the goal of raising the social status of woman and providing education to a wider segment of society.
The school has kept pace with advances in society, providing education for large numbers of people who now make valuable contributions to society."
Today, we are comprised of a university, a junior college, two high schools, and three kindergartens, and function as a vital educational institution in the Mikawa area. As a private educational institution, our philosophy of education for the general community is based on the belief that educating the broadest possible segment of the population will benefit society as a whole.
"Our emphasis on foresight involves looking ahead to upcoming societies and providing the intellectual functions appropriate to future social changes.
At the same time that we emphasize community, however, we are careful to bring out the best in each student and foster individual skills and talents. Anjo Gakuen is also committed to developing , to their fullest potential, the unlimited possibilities inherent in human beings."
"We provide education in step with today's needs, while simultaneously respecting the individual abilities of our students. Our policies are intended to help our students maintain their individuality and independence, while they play an important part in the community in which they live.
In this way, Anjo Gakuen is serving a vital function in providing a model for both the individual and for institutions of the future. "
